ig thank you to Welsh clog maker Trefor Owen for alerting me to a series of YouTube videos featuring fellow clog maker Jeremy Atkinson. I first mentioned a number of traditional shoe makers two years ago on ECHID, and Mr. Atkinson was among them. But the short documentaries about U. K. craftspeople produced by Artisan Channel tell the story about his work better than I could ever hope to.
I've embedded one brief video below (and just an FYI: there are indeed other clog makers still practicing in England), but you can pick and choose among the full series on Jeremy Atkinson on the Artisan Channel channel here. Be sure to put on a favorite pair of shoes when you curl up with your computer to watch!

[On my feet as I blog: my Tunacha lace-up wood-soled booties from N. Y. L. A. I've found one benefit to having tons of shoes on non-stop display in my bedroom is that I'm not likely to neglect a pair for long. I seem to be rotating through my favorites quite briskly now. Squeee!]
OMG. This is amazing. Thank you so much for posting it.

Good gracious. This is marvelous; thank you for sharing. My father was a woodcarver, and I have spent many hours watching him work—I so admire this sort of sculpture.
