whole bunch of shoe makers, apparently! Wood-soled shoes are so much easier to come by at the moment. I'm finding myself in a "stock up now" frame of mind. Not much commentary I can add to this gorgeous array of wooden goodness since every one of these pictures is worth a thousand words. Most of those words being some variation of "Ooo!" and "Ahh!" With an occasional "Mmm-mmm-mmm!"
I suppose my usual comment is worth making. "I'll take one of each, please!"
No. 6 Loves Us!
Just look at what this Manhattan retailer has been sending out pictures of in their e-blasts!
And then accompanying these images is the simple imperative:
Well, I think of it as an imperative. Maybe they mean it as an option for you to choose. In my world, when clog boots are involved, there are no options. I have done more than a little digging in the clog boots pages on the No.6 website, and let me say that the collection poses a good kind of problem for me. There are so many choices, I can't decide which to go with! The height-enabled among us will be as pleased as I am to learn that select No. 6 styles are being offered up to a size 12!
OMG! Cool clogs in tall sizes! I feel a buying spree coming on!
No. 6 Really Loves Us!
But those fur lined delights weren't the only things that've caught my eye in those No. 6 mailings I've been getting. Check out the funky footwear below! The platform style in the top photo had me saying "Yes!" out loud when I first saw them. And I love the olive nubuck of the pair in the bottom photo.
As with the other set of photos, this message was accompanied by its own mandate and link:
Oh, baby, you know I will!
But what really caught my eye in the world of No. 6 was a two-toned style I first spotted on the Bird website. It's a non-traditional spin on an already non-traditional version (high-heeled) of a shoe that is pretty out of the ordinary in the first place (the clog). Win/win/win in my book!
I'm glad they were showcasing this style on Bird. I totally overlooked them on the No. 6 site. I'm planning to order a pair and test drive them. Stay tuned for details!
And here's a bit of helpfulness on the No. 6 website: their Clog Fit Guide. They've gone to great lengths to insure your satisfaction with your clogs, and I like that.
Calleen Cordero Loves Us!
Then there's this awesome pair from the California designer that turned up recently on StyleShack.com. Note the extra thick outsole. A feature no doubt designed to make the wearer's tread a little softer.
We've known for years that Ms. Cordero is a fan of working wood into her footwear. But the designs she comes up with are a wonder to behold. (And wear.)
Just for the record, you won't find this one on he own website,...but you will see these.
Cordani Loves Us!
And then I stumbled across these fabulous designs, some of them part of the Cordani Five Worlds Collection, some of them part of their regular offerings! Feast your eyes upon the bounty of this new era of clog plenty!
