I spent the evening writing. And writing. And writing. Now I've got more than enough material written for chapter 3 of Every Blog Has Its Day. The next step is to polish it and winnow it down to a decent length for publication. How long does a chapter need to be? Long enough to tell the story, of course. I just want to make sure I've done the job that needs doing. Chapter 3 is coming soon. I promise.

In the meantime, Mark Casperson of Multnomah Leather Shop sent along these images of this past fall's Multnomah Design Contest winner. Back on October 15th I published the winner announcement:
Today, I'm pleased to share Mark's photos of the winner's finished pair. Behold the wonder of a brand new pair of clogs!
Says Mark,
We finally finished the design contest shoes and have shipped them to Annelizabeth in New York. We have never tried zippered clogs before and the moccasin toe is a challenging feature, requiring hand lacing. The most time consuming thing was actually finding the correct thread in a "Bright Green" that she wanted, to contrast the brown and black of the upper. I think it was worth it, the came out pretty good. Thanks again for hosting the contest, when we finally get maoved and into our new setup I will be adding these to our site as the "Anabit Zip" style.

[On the feet here as I blog: I have become quite enamored of my Bailey knee-high boots from Kork-Ease. Almost as enamored as my roommate is of her new grey Lynnea clog booties from UGG Australia.]

Annelizabeth, those are some great looking clogs! And Mark? Great job on them—they really are cool!
