he topic is always clogs here on Every Clog Has Its Day. And every week I wrestle with the internet as best I can to squeeze out a notable story or two worthy of posting on Guy Day Friday. It's a process best described as a challenge. But somehow for over a year now I've been able to claim victory from the jaws of the shoe making industry's indifference. And today's post is no different. I wish it were a treasure trove of men's online clog shopping that I'm able to offer for this edition. Or perhaps a wealth of sightings of male celebrities sporting the latest wooden goodness for guys. Alas, it's just a few random images located somewhere near the intersection of wooden shoes and men's fashion. Look and enjoy. And remember, another week will be here before you know it. And who knows what new news that will bring?

Rocket Dog clogs, size 11
Well, at least I do have this genuinely newsworthy item of interest to post. One of my regular Guy Day Friday readers dropped by my Inbox with a pair of clogs to offer.
I recently bought a pair of Rocket Dog Giddyup clogs at a great price, hoping I would be able to wear them, at least around the house. It turns out that while I CAN get them on my massively wide feet, they aren't in any way comfortable to me. I would be happy to offer them to any reader who wants them at what I paid ($20 bucks!) plus whatever shipping it would take to get them to that person, probably around $10, if past history serves me. Alternately, I will put them on Ebay, if you would be kind enough to let your readership know. I would imagine there are some guys (and gals!) out there who would enjoy having them.
Here's a photo of the style from a retail website:
And a shot of the actual pair being auctioned:
You'll find these rugged looking clogs on an eBay listing from pennharris. And the seller, my reader, has suggested,
Why not tell your folks that I am putting them on at starting bid of $40 but if I get an offer for EXACTLY $20.01 I will know the bid came from a reader and will sell them immediately. I won't accept any other offer, at least for a couple of days.
Happy bidding!

A man and his madreños
Over on IberiaNature.com, the online "guide to the environment, climate, wildlife, geography, and nature of Spain", the industrious and far-reaching content creators have posted a picture or two of the traditional Spanish muck shoes...known as madreños. According to their article,
Not only the old folk wear these practical wooden clogs. In El Puertu after the rain a strapping youth in track-suit bottoms pounded across the road in his. They keep your feet warm and dry and raise them out of the dung and mud.
It's the knobby bottom on this shoe that makes it so useful when precipitation has turned the landscape to the consistency of pudding.

Casual clogs for Ken and G. I. Joe
I'm clearly dating myself now. G. I. Joe is better known as a movie these days than as an action figure (aka doll) for boys, and Ken has not been a hot item in Barbie's iPhone Contacts since their relationship cooled in 2004. Girl, I told you he was gay! Besides he wouldn't be caught dead in these 1/6 scale shoes that resemble a certain unnamed plastic clog. But someone somewhere thought some 12" figure would.
Spotted on toyhaven.com.
Like the dude below. After bringing the pain in one of the world's trouble spots, I'm sure he'd be just the character to kick off his Doc Martens at base camp after a day of bad assery and chill with an MRE with a pair of these casual shoes on his feet.

Engrish websites say the darnedest things
Love these wooden sandals...though the product description is a bit hazy on details. I should contact Rakuten and see if I could give them a hand with their web content.
Clogs BLADE of the waterfowl industry man
Clogs of waterfowl industry pursuing classic Japanese clogs in spite of being pleasure with the fashion of "the times."
As clogs looking good with the men who was a modern adult this time, a product called "BLADE" was born newly.

OMG! Too funneh! (But I thought everyone knew Ken was gay?!)
Despite the hilarity of the Engrish translation, those sandals are beautiful; I could get behind flip-flops like those!

Ha ha ha! This is a great post!
• Love those 12 in. dolls
• Love the text accompanying the sandals
• What an awesome reader to offer those RocketDogs in such a way. If I was a dude with size 11 feet, I would snatch them up. They are VERY fetching. Plus, since I love my globetrots so much, they would obviously suit.
Oh! And by the way! I happened to glance Ebay at just the right time to finally purchase the Matisse Savannahs in winter white in my size. I'm dying with anticipation until they arrive. I know, I know, I need to send you some photos. I never have a solitary moment at home away from child during which I can also merge the downstairs location of my camera with the upstairs location of my shoes. I've got it on my mental list. Then you'll be able to see all of my white and beige clog purchases of the last two weeks.
