Good Lord! October already! I was just beginning to think seriously about making plans for a summer vacation. Where did the year go? I suppose it's only common sense. The older you get, the smaller a proportion of your life each year makes. So for a ten year old, 12 months represent an impossibly unimaginable 1/10 of the time she or he has known on the planet. By contrast, for someone my age, gauging that same time span is like trying to keep track of the seconds in an hour. At least while I'm watching the days fly past like spokes on a turning bicycle wheel I can have some fun shoes on my feet while I'm pedaling. And all the more so if I can find them listed second-hand online. Let's see what there is to enjoy this week.

[On my feet as I blog: haven't worn my Charli-C clogs from Jeffrey Campbell for awhile. So after running an errand in the downpour with a pair of rubber boots on my feet, I put on this comfy pair of heels to putter around in. And a good choice they were. With the rain pelting on my windows and The Shining on TV, I needed a little comfort.]
