What's New? (as of September 29, 2010...continued)

Hold onto your pocketbooks. It's a clog boot extravaganza to wrap up this week's post of the latest and greatest. And remember all that stuff I said about watching my budget and feeling I've had my fill of fashion for the time being? Another week with these sort of styles to tempt me, and all my self-discipline may come crumbling down in ruins. It's clearly going to be a fun and well shod winter!

5.  Desire F clog boot from Jeffrey Campbell

I just spotted these on Thursday afternoon, so instead of sitting on them another week, I thought I'd kick off this round of new releases with them. My money's on the fact that the JC folks have done good things with this wooden midsole on other styles so they're giving it a shot with some other designs. This past Wednesday's T-strap variation, the Sisley, for one. And now this lovely knee high. Kind of makes you wish for a cold snap, doesn't it?

6.  Sangria clog boot from Carvela

Meanwhile, over in Great Britain, they're continuing to enjoy a number of styles that we on the other side of the Atlantic can only look at longingly. This lace up hiking boot clog is just the latest envy producer. And then to add insult to injury, they've dropped the price, too. Aaaarghhh! Don't make it so hard to resist!

7.  Fur cuff clog bootie from Topshop

I have to say that this style owes a lot to the Nine West Kybele clog boot, but I've learned not to be offended by plagiarism in fashion. It's just a way of spreading around the joy. This pair can be found on the Topshop.com website in the U. K....where it is possible to place an order from the U. S.

8.  Axis clog boot from ASOS

Then there's this pair of fur trimmed lace up clog boots that seem to be a nod to the Jeffrey Campbell shearling lined Denmark that made a splash this summer. Some of you know that I take a tall size in my footwear, so I guess I'm blessed not to be tempted by every pair that comes along since not every shoe is manufactured in my size. I can't imagine the hell I would go through if I wore something more common like a 7 or an 8!

9.  Ankle clog boots from Mango

And while we're pointing fingers, ASOS also brings us this ankle boot that strongly resembles this season's Marc Jacobs lace up clog booties. At half the price, of course. God bless you, Mango, for thinking of the rest of us!

10.  Nixie clog bootie from Matisse

Then there are these fun and funky short boots from California based Matisse. We've seen the look before. But if you haven't yet given into the urge to add them to your fashion arsenal, the opportunity has presented itself again! You'll find this style on Shopbop.com.

I don't know if it's clear from the photos, but this appears to be a wrap boot. The shaft is split on both sides. You slip your foot in. Then wrap the strap around and buckle it to provide a secure fit. Sounds like a lot of work? Don't be silly! For a clog boot, any effort is worth it!

11.  Coco clog boot from Vince Camuto

Then there's this appealing wood soled boot from the same folks who brought us the Christies and the Cover and the Courtney earlier this year. Just a little variation on a theme to carry you through the snowy months. You'll find this one on Piperlime. Extra points in my book for any shoe designer who offers a style in more than just black and brown!

You and me both! (Against my better financial judgment, I did place an order for the Vince Camuto Coco clog boot. Piperlime didnt have it in my size, but God bless Google for helping me track down a pair from Dillards.)
