Back when I started this blog in the B.C. (Before Chanel) days of the clog world, I seriously fretted about whether or not I'd have enough material to post something of interest every single day. Nowadays, I feel I struggle every week to fit it all in! Past styles. New releases. Fledgling designers. Offbeat stories about our footwear faves. There's no shortage of material. And I'm loving it! Hope you are, too. There are a lot of new shoes to moon over this week. And because I have so many shoes and other things I want to cover this month, too, I'm going to bite the bullet and upload all of this week's new styles in one marathon post. Get comfortable. Make sure your coffee cup has been topped off. And let's have a look!

1. Hush Hush clog from Seychelles
Now here's a shoe that brings it all together. The material is pleasing to the eye. The silhouette is substantial in the right places and smoothly contoured where it counts. There are design details to set it apart from the crowd. And it's at a price that is dollars and sensible. Lori's Shoes has the Hush Hush in an assortment of colors—black, whiskey, and mushroom—and all of them look so sweet.

2. Raskin clog from Coconuts by Matisse
This high heeled style takes the conventions of clog construction in a different direction by slimming down the platform without sacrificing either height or the use of wood. Or at least it says it's made with a "Wooden sole." I've been burned before when I try to go by sight and the manufacturer's details. But then some shoes I know from seeing with my own eyes that they're manmade somehow end up listed online with "wood" in the product description. Somebody correct me if they know better about this pair. The wood almost looks hyper-real so I can't tell if it's real or not. I can say that the brass "O" ring gives the shoe its own distinctive look as does the contrast stitching. (What a shame the serger wasn't moving in a straight line for the photo shoot sample!) And of course, how can you go wrong with nail head accents??? Available through DSW.

3. Hegyi clog from Aldo
I placed an order from the U. K. retailer ASOS back in July, and I was as pleased with the speed of delivery as I was with the very fact that I could order something from England and get it delivered in America at all. Suddenly a whole new world of shopping possibilities has opened up.
(pauses to stare dreamily into space for a moment)
Now I know there are Aldo shops here in the U. S., and this very shoe may well be on their shelves. But ASOS is where I spotted it first, and I'm going to go with them as the place to shop. Besides, I have other styles to get to.
By the way, is it just me, or does this shoe look like an old Frye design that's been stretched upwards?

4. Penny loafer clog from Prada
This shoe is listed on Bluefly as "Color: Military Green." Okay, guys, I'm trying to follow you there. But I'm feeling a case of the emperor's new clothes when you're telling me that's the color. 'Cause when I type the term into Google, the majority of the images come up in a decidedly different corner of the crayon box. Still, the style is from Prada. And cognitive dissonance with the color stated or not, that name probably explains why they're already SOLd out.

5. Turin clog from Max Studio
I never really thought about it, but this kind of high heeled clog design is somewhat unique. Normally when the height goes up, manufacturers tend to carve the heel piece separately and fasten it securely to a separately hewn sole. But this clog from Max Studio supplies both the elevation and the once piece construction. I can think of a handful of styles I've seen/owned/worn over the years that have been made this way, but I can think of a lot more that haven't. Somehow that little touch seems to place this pair firmly in the clog camp (as opposed to, say, wood soled slides...which in my mind are more about the architectural grace than about having a block of alder strapped to your feet). Other design touches abound. Unfortunately pictures and product angles do not on the Lord & Taylor website. You must content yourself with this lone view, I'm afraid.

6. Peep toe slingback clog from daniblack
I first covered the Swiss by daniblack, a medium heeled covered toe clog, back at the beginning of June. Then I discovered this high heeled peep toe cousin. Same general details. More sizzle. You can see if it speaks to you with a visit to CUSP (as in CUSP by Neiman-Marcus). Unfortunately, another high end retailer that is being painfully frugal with their product photos.

7. Sitara clog pump from Steve Madden
Feeling the need to stop the conversation at your next social event? These shoes aren't all that special at first glance. Just a modest dainty Mary Jane upper when you take a look at what's going on above the sole. But that upper is fixed to a substantial wooden platform with a heel cup in the rear that teams up with a slender 5" heel to guarantee that you'll get some major lengthening of your line. Team these shoes up with a stretchy little black dress or smart skirt and jacket or...well, actually it doesn't matter what you wear with this pair. Nobody's going to notice anything but your le-e-e-e-e-e-egs. You go, girl! And be sure to come back and tell us all about it! Available through DSW in an assortment of colors: Cognac, Black, and Nude.

Kill me now. I have no clogs left to live for.
AHHHHH! You're killin' me with all of these beautiful postings. The only thing I have going for me in living in Soutern California an not having to worry about buying clog boots. I am trying to refrain from getting my wallet out of my purse. I'm in love with the Prada (ha-ha of course) and the Wesley Oxford by Cythia Vincent. I found the Wesley comes in a 10.5 not sure if it will fit. Thanks for all of the work you do...I think :-)

I feel your pain. I can find solace in the fact that not every shoe is manufactured in my size/our size. Which means the temptations are significantly reduced. I can only imagine the torment I would feel if I were a size 8. YIKES!
