Items worth noting from around the web.
• Nine West has posted another pic of their forthcoming clog boots being used to accessorize another product. Early last week I noticed the ankle high clog boots paired up with two other pants on the Nine West website and wrote in to get more details. I quickly learned that the style name is the Kybele and within a day or two a light brown suede/white shearling version appeared on their website.
Apparently other colors are waiting in the wings. From the original photos I spotted it appears that dark brown suede and black suede versions may be headed our way. But then yesterday the product photos below seemed to feature a black leather variation. (Shown on the catalog page for the Nine West Vintage America Collection Vintage Straight Leg Jean.) It's a sweet looking clog boot at a fabulous price point. It would be great to have it available in a variety of color and leather options. You know I'll be keeping my eyes peeled. I'll do my best to let you know when the other styles go online.
• Jeffrey Campbell is due to knock our socks off with a clog boot heading our way for the winter season. According to Ty McBride of TMI NYC, the Brand Consultant for JC, "I'm excited for u to see our winter style called bogart!!!! Otk clog boot with sherpa! Hollllller!" If you need a translation, we're talking "over the knee" wooden goodness here. I'm not sure what it's going to look like, but if someone passes me a photo, you know I'll share it with the class.
• In other Jeffrey Campbell news, Lori's Shoes is featuring the new JC Denmark in a self-produced music video. Once again, a hot looking style looks even hotter when it's on a body in motion. Without a doubt if I owned a pair of the Denmarks, this little featurette would make me want to go out and buy another. It's that good! • And it's also worth noting that a few more pairs of clogs from my own closet have made their way onto eBay thanks to my consignment seller lisatravel2. If you're looking for something in a size 10 or 11, these three styles have just been posted. And we're keeping the starting bids nice and low.
